Prepare 1 lesson plan of any grade. Choose any school/college grade and select any topic/ chapter of your interest in any subject; follow the following format to prepare the lesson plan.

Objectives: - Root, stem, flower, leaf! In this
hands-on science lesson students will able to create their own plants and it
help them to identify and remember the parts of the plant.

9. Procedure
a.
Introduction:
·
First of all, I will draw a picture of a plant on the board. I
will include roots, a stem, a flower, and leaves in drawing.
·
I ask students to tell what they've just want to learn. Once
someone answers plant, I ask students whether or not anyone can tell the
different parts of a plant.
b. Teaching Procedures
·
Once students have answered, correctly label
the roots, stem, flower and leaves. One by one, explain the task of each herb
part.
·
Tell the class that roots hold the plant into the soil. They take in water and
minerals to help the plant stay alive.
·
Define the stem as the part that carries water from the roots to the
other parts of the plant.
·
Explain that the flower helps the plant reproduce, making seeds that will grow into
new plants.
·
Tell your class that leaves take in the air and light that a plant needs to live.
·
Explain
that different plants have leaves that are different shapes and sizes. Give a
few examples of plants that have different shapes of leaves. For example, maple
trees have star shaped leaves, magnolia trees have obovate leaves, and birch
trees have deltoid leaves.
c.
Student Participation: Ask students to complete the Parts of a Plant worksheet
independently.
d.
Formative check: Encourage your class to get inventive, and invent a name for
their plant. They can also invent the uses of their plant.
e.
Closure/summarizing: Invite students to present their plants to the class, being sure
to share their plants name and function, as well as the parts of their plant
and what they're used for.
10. Assignment
or Homework: Grade the Parts of a Plant worksheets
as students finish them.
11.
Assessment of Student Learning
Tell
your students that they will each be creating a plant that has roots, a stem,
leaves, and a flower. Instruct your students to label the parts of their plants
using sticky notes. Be sure the Leaf Shapes worksheet is still being displayed,
and remind your students to label the type of leaves as well.
